What the Bible Says About Christmas
The Bible does not command Christians to celebrate Christmas as a yearly holiday.
However, it does record the birth of Jesus Christ, one of the most important events in history.
God promised for centuries that He would send the Messiah.
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, those promises were fulfilled.
His birth marked the beginning of God’s plan to provide salvation through His death and resurrection.
Jesus Is God’s Greatest Gift
Christmas reminds us that salvation begins with God’s love.
John 3:16 says:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…”
Jesus came willingly to accomplish what no one else could.
He lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose again so that everyone who believes in Him could receive eternal life.
The manger points us to the cross, where Jesus completed God’s plan of redemption.
The Birth of Jesus Fulfilled Prophecy
Long before Jesus was born, the Old Testament announced the coming Messiah.
The prophets declared:

When the shepherds heard the angel’s announcement, they hurried to see Jesus.
Later, wise men travelled great distances to worship Him.

Share the Good News
Christmas provides a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel.
Many people are open to hearing about Jesus during this season.
As believers celebrate His birth, they can also point others toward the salvation He offers through His life, death, and resurrection.
