Bible Verses For A New Home
July 10, 2024Bible Verses For Mercy
July 11, 2024Easter is the most important celebration in the Christian faith.
It is the day believers remember and rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Because Jesus rose again, Christians have:
- forgiveness of sins
- victory over death
- the promise of eternal life
- hope for the future
- and a restored relationship with God.
Without the resurrection, there would be no Christian faith.
The empty tomb proves that Jesus conquered sin and death exactly as He promised.
👉 Easter celebrates the risen Saviour who gives eternal life to everyone who believes in Him.
⚡ What To Do Right Now
- Thank Jesus for His resurrection
- Read the Gospel accounts of Easter
- Celebrate God’s victory over sin and death
- Share the message of the resurrection
- Place your hope completely in Jesus Christ
👉 The resurrection gives believers unshakable hope.
What the Bible Says About Easter
Although the Bible does not use the word “Easter” to describe the celebration Christians observe today, it clearly records the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
After dying on the cross for the sins of the world, Jesus was buried in a tomb.
On the third day, He rose again just as He had promised.
His resurrection confirmed that He is the Son of God and that His sacrifice for sin was accepted by the Father (Matthew 28:6; Mark 16:6; Luke 24:6–7; Romans 1:4).
The resurrection stands at the centre of the Gospel message.
Jesus Conquered Sin and Death
The resurrection was God’s declaration of victory.
Death could not hold Jesus.
The grave could not defeat Him.
Through His resurrection, Christ conquered:
- sin (Romans 6:10)
- death (1 Corinthians 15:54–57)
- Satan (Hebrews 2:14)
- and the power of the grave (Revelation 1:17–18).
Because Jesus lives, everyone who trusts Him can have confidence that death is not the end.
The Resurrection Gives Us Hope
Without the resurrection, the cross would not be the complete message of salvation.
Because Jesus rose again, believers have the assurance that:
- their sins are forgiven (Ephesians 1:7)
- eternal life is secure (John 11:25–26)
- Christ intercedes for them (Romans 8:34)
- and God’s promises will be fulfilled (1 Peter 1:3–4).
The resurrection transforms despair into hope because it reminds us that God always keeps His promises.
The Empty Tomb Changed Everything
When the women arrived at the tomb on the third day, they expected to find Jesus’ body.
Instead, they heard the angel announce that He had risen.
That moment changed history forever.
The empty tomb declared that Jesus is alive, His work of salvation is complete, and His victory over death is eternal.
The resurrection continues to give hope to millions of believers around the world.
Live in the Power of the Resurrection
The resurrection is not only an historical event.
It also changes the lives of those who believe in Christ.
Through faith in Jesus, believers become new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17).
They receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).
They are called to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).
Because Christ lives, His followers are empowered to live for Him each day.
Share the Good News
The resurrection is the greatest news the world has ever received.
Jesus instructed His followers to proclaim the Gospel to every nation (Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15).
Every Easter provides another opportunity to tell others about:
- God’s love
- Christ’s sacrifice
- His resurrection
- and the eternal life He offers.
The hope of Easter is meant to be shared.
