Although life includes joy and blessing, it also includes hardship, loss, and uncertainty.
God promises to remain with His people through every season, giving them strength and hope as they trust Him.

What the Bible Says About Life
The Bible begins by revealing God as the Creator of all life.
Every person exists because He created them in His image (Genesis 1:26–27).
Life is not an accident or the result of chance.
Instead, every human being has value because God designed them with care and purpose.
Acts 17:25 says:
“He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.”
Everything we have ultimately comes from Him.
Jesus Is the Source of Life
The Bible teaches that eternal life is found in Jesus Christ alone.
He not only gives physical life but also offers spiritual life that lasts forever.
Jesus said:
John 14:6 says:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
He also declared:
John 10:10 says:
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Through faith in Christ, believers receive forgiveness, eternal life, and a restored relationship with God.
God Has a Purpose for Your Life
God created every person with intention.
Although each believer’s calling is different, scripture teaches that God desires His people to glorify Him through the lives they live.
He equips believers with gifts and opportunities to serve others while reflecting His love.
As we seek His will, He faithfully directs our steps (Ephesians 2:10; Proverbs 3:5–6; Psalm 32:8).
Life Includes Trials
The Bible never promises an easy life.
Believers experience:
- suffering
- disappointment
- grief
- temptation
- and hardship.
Even during difficult seasons, God remains faithful.
He uses trials to strengthen faith, build perseverance, and help believers become more like Christ (James 1:2–4; Romans 8:28–29; 2 Corinthians 4:16–18).
Our hope rests in His unchanging promises rather than our changing circumstances.
Live for What Lasts Forever
Life on earth is temporary.
The Bible encourages believers to live with eternity in view.
Rather than focusing only on temporary success, Christians are called to:
- seek God’s kingdom first (Matthew 6:33)
- store up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19–21)
- love others (John 13:34–35)
- and faithfully follow Jesus (Luke 9:23).
A life lived for God has eternal value.
Every Day Is an Opportunity
Every new day is a gift from God.
Each day provides opportunities to:
- grow in faith
- encourage others
- serve faithfully
- share the Gospel
- and glorify God.
No matter what your past looks like, God continues inviting you to walk with Him today.
His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23).
How to Live a God-Honouring Life (Practical Steps)
1. Put God first
Build your life on Him.

- Pray daily
- Read scripture
- Trust His guidance

2. Follow Jesus
Walk in obedience.

- Believe His Word

- Depend on His strength

4. Trust God during difficulties
Keep your hope in Him.

The Bible teaches that life is a precious gift from God.

Although life includes both joy and hardship, God’s faithfulness remains constant through every season.

- search for purpose apart from God
- fear an uncertain future
- or face life’s challenges alone.
Instead, trust your Creator, follow Jesus faithfully, and allow His Word to guide every step you take.
