Bible Verses About Kindness
July 9, 2024Bible Verses About Discipline
July 9, 2024The Bible teaches that God is the Creator of everything.
He created:
- the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)
- the sun, moon, and stars (Genesis 1:14–19)
- the plants and animals (Genesis 1:11–13; Genesis 1:20–25)
- mankind in His own image (Genesis 1:26–27)
- and everything that exists by His power (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16–17).
Creation reveals God’s wisdom, power, creativity, and glory.
As believers look at the world around them, they are reminded that everything ultimately belongs to Him.
👉 Creation points us to the greatness of the Creator.
⚡ What To Do Right Now
- Thank God for His amazing creation
- Spend time appreciating His handiwork
- Read the creation account in Genesis
- Worship God as the Creator of all things
- Care for the world He has entrusted to humanity
👉 Every part of creation reflects God’s power and wisdom.
What the Bible Says About Creation
The opening words of the Bible declare:
Genesis 1:1 says:
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
Before anything existed, God already was.
He created everything by His power and according to His perfect wisdom.
Nothing came into existence apart from Him.
Creation was not an accident.
It was the intentional work of the all-powerful Creator.
God Created Everything
The Bible teaches that God created the entire universe.
Nothing exists independently of Him.
The New Testament explains that all things were created through Jesus Christ and continue to exist because of His sustaining power.
Creation includes:
- everything visible (Colossians 1:16)
- everything invisible (Colossians 1:16)
- every authority and power (Colossians 1:16)
- and every living creature (Genesis 1:20–25).
Every part of creation belongs to God.
Humanity Is Made in God’s Image
One of the greatest truths in scripture is that human beings were created in God’s image.
Genesis 1:26–27 teaches that every person has inherent value because God created them.
This truth reminds believers to:
- treat others with dignity
- respect every human life
- love their neighbours
- and recognise that every person is valuable in God’s sight.
Our worth comes from our Creator rather than our achievements or abilities.
Creation Declares God’s Glory
The beauty and complexity of creation continually point to God.
Psalm 19:1 says:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”
The mountains, oceans, stars, forests, animals, and skies all testify to God’s greatness.
Creation encourages people to worship the Creator rather than the created things (Romans 1:20–25).
God Sustains His Creation
God did not simply create the world and leave it on its own.
The Bible teaches that He continues sustaining everything by His power.
Every season, every sunrise, and every breath reminds us of His ongoing care.
Because God faithfully upholds His creation, believers can trust His wisdom and His promises.
Care for God’s Creation
God gave humanity the responsibility of caring for the earth.
This responsibility includes wise stewardship of the resources He has provided.
Caring for creation does not mean worshipping nature.
Instead, it means honouring the Creator by responsibly managing what He has entrusted to us (Genesis 1:28; Genesis 2:15).
