Bible Verses About Jesus
March 11, 2025There are times when everything just feels heavy.
You might not even be able to explain it properly —
you just feel:
- tired
- overwhelmed
- or discouraged
That’s usually when people search for encouragement.
And the Bible does give it — not in a vague way, but in a way that actually strengthens you.
⚡ What To Do Right Now
- Slow down for a moment
- Pick one verse (not ten)
- Read it slowly
- Say it out loud
- Let it replace what your mind is telling you
👉 Encouragement doesn’t come from reading more
👉 it comes from taking one truth in properly
What the Bible Says About Encouragement
Encouragement in the Bible is not just:
👉 “feeling better”
It’s about:
👉 being strengthened from truth
For example, Scripture repeatedly points people back to:
- God’s presence
- God’s strength
- and God’s faithfulness
👉 That’s where real encouragement comes from
How to Use Bible Verses for Encouragement
1. Don’t rush through them
Reading quickly won’t help.
What to do:
- Slow down
- Sit with one verse
👉 Let it actually sink in
2. Replace your thoughts with truth
Your mind will go straight to:
- worst-case thinking
- fear
- doubt
What to do:
- Catch the thought
- Replace it with scripture
👉 This is how encouragement becomes real
3. Come back to the same verse
Most people jump between verses.
That doesn’t help.
What to do:
- Stay with one verse for the day
- Repeat it
👉 Repetition builds strength
4. Speak it out loud
This matters more than people think.
👉 Saying truth out loud:
- slows your thinking
- makes it clearer
5. Use it when you actually need it
Don’t wait until you feel calm.
👉 Use scripture:
- in the middle of stress
- in the middle of fear
Bible Verses for Encouragement (KJV)
💪 When You Feel Weak
Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear thou not; for I am with thee… I will strengthen thee…”
👉 God strengthens you when you feel overwhelmed
Isaiah 40:31 – “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…”
👉 Strength is renewed — not gone forever
🛡 When You Feel Afraid
Joshua 1:9 – “Be strong and of a good courage… for the Lord thy God is with thee…”
👉 You are not facing things alone
Psalm 56:3 – “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
👉 Fear doesn’t disqualify you — it points you to trust
🧭 When You Don’t Know What to Do
Proverbs 3:5–6 – “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart…”
👉 You don’t need all the answers
Psalm 32:8 – “I will instruct thee and teach thee…”
👉 God guides you step by step
❤️ When You Feel Discouraged
Romans 15:13 – “The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace…”
👉 Encouragement comes from God, not circumstances
Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart…”
👉 God is close when you feel low
🌱 When You Feel Like Giving Up
Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not be weary in well doing…”
👉 Keep going — even when it’s hard
John 16:33 – “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer…”
👉 Difficulty is real — but so is victory
Final Thought
Encouragement isn’t about pretending everything is fine.
It’s about:
- having something solid to hold onto
- even when things aren’t fine
The Bible doesn’t remove difficulty.
But it gives you something stronger:
👉 truth that holds you steady inside it
So instead of trying to fix everything at once:
👉 come back to one verse
👉 stay with it
👉 let it strengthen you
