Bible Verses About Narcissism
January 25, 2025Bible Verses About Volunteering
January 25, 2025Fear can show up in different ways.
Sometimes it’s obvious — something happens and you feel it straight away.
Other times it sits in the background as worry, overthinking, or a constant sense that something isn’t right.
And even when you believe in God, that doesn’t mean fear just disappears.
The Bible speaks into that honestly — not by pretending fear isn’t real, but by showing you what to come back to when it is.
⚡ The Clear Answer
👉 The Bible doesn’t say you will never feel fear — it tells you what to do when you do
Over and over again, it says:
👉 “Do not be afraid”
Not because nothing is wrong
👉 but because God is with you in it
What the Bible Actually Says About Fear
1. God tells you not to fear — repeatedly
This isn’t said once or twice.
👉 It’s repeated throughout Scripture
That shows something important:
👉 fear is common
👉 but it’s not meant to control you
2. The reason you don’t have to fear is God’s presence
This is the key point most people miss.
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee…”
👉 The instruction is always connected to:
- God being with you
- not you being strong enough on your own
3. Fear is not what God gives you
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
“God hath not given us the spirit of fear…”
👉 Fear doesn’t come from God
👉 He gives:
- power
- love
- a sound mind
4. You’re not told to pretend — you’re told to trust
The Bible doesn’t ignore fear.
👉 It redirects it
Instead of:
- staying in fear
👉 it brings you back to:
- trust
- truth
- God’s presence
Why Fear Feels So Strong
1. Your mind goes to worst-case thinking
Fear pulls you into:
👉 “what if”
And it keeps repeating
2. You try to control what you can’t control
Fear grows when you:
👉 try to figure everything out
3. You stay inside your thoughts
The longer you sit in it:
👉 the stronger it feels
What to Come Back To
1. You are not facing this alone
Even when it feels like it:
👉 God is with you
2. Fear doesn’t mean something is wrong with you
You can feel fear
👉 and still be grounded in faith
3. You don’t need to solve everything right now
Fear pushes urgency.
👉 Truth slows you down
What To Do When Fear Hits
1. Slow your thoughts down
Don’t rush to fix everything.
👉 pause
2. Read one verse — not many
Let it settle instead of skimming
3. Say it out loud
This helps interrupt your thinking
4. Come back to it again
Fear repeats — so truth needs to repeat too
