Bible Verses About God Wanting a Relationship With Us

Statement of Faith
August 16, 2025God’s promises aren’t vague encouragement — they are commitments God has made.
But most people read verses about God’s promises and still feel unsure, stuck, or unchanged.
If you don’t understand what God has actually promised — and how to use it —
you’ll read scripture without seeing real impact.
⚡ What To Do Right Now
- Pick one promise that applies to your situation
- Say it out loud (not just in your head)
- Pray it back to God directly
- Replace your current fear with that truth
- Repeat it throughout the day
👉 Don’t try to hold onto 20 promises — start with one and actually use it
What God’s Promises Actually Mean
A promise from God is not a wish or a possibility.
It is something God has said He will do.
The Bible shows clearly:
- God does not lie
- God does not change
- What He says will come to pass
This means you don’t have to force outcomes or figure everything out.
Your role is not to make the promise happen.
Your role is to trust what God has already said.
How to Apply God’s Promises to Your Life
1. Know which promises apply
Not every verse is a personal guarantee for every situation.
Focus on what God consistently promises:
- His presence
- His strength
- His guidance
- His salvation
👉 Stay grounded in what scripture clearly teaches
2. Speak the promise
Reading something once won’t change your thinking.
- Say the verse out loud
- Turn it into a statement:
- “God is with me”
- “God will strengthen me”
👉 This replaces fear with truth
3. Stop relying on feelings
You will not always feel like God’s promises are true.
That doesn’t change anything.
- Stand on truth, not emotion
- Say:
- “God is faithful whether I feel it or not”
4. Use promises when pressure hits
Don’t wait until life is calm.
- When fear hits → speak a promise
- When uncertainty hits → return to truth
👉 This is how you actually live it
5. Stay consistent
This is where most people fail.
- Repeat daily
- Come back to the same promise
- Don’t jump between 20 different verses
👉 Consistency builds confidence
